Meet Lerah Lee

“I’m not a professional politician or owned by any special interest groups. I am a devoted wife and mother of five, an educator, a fiscal conservative, a proud Georgian, and a Republican Ph.D, who wants Congress to work for us. I humbly ask for your vote in the Republican Primary, on May 19th.”

As a mother and educator, Lerah Lee is not willing to sit on the sidelines and hope for the best when the future of our country is at stake. She strongly believes that if don’t take action now to stop the socialist agenda and secure our borders, we are jeopardizing our nation’s future. She is running for Congress to take on the tough challenges and make the bold decisions.

Born in Charleston, South Carolina, Dr. Lerah Lee resides in Duluth, Georgia and is married with five children. She attended Ashley Hall School where one of her earliest role models was the late Barbara Bush an alumna of Ashley Hall. From a young age she was mentored by her grandmother and watched as she taught adults how to read in a local prison.

Lerah attended Claflin University where she majored in Elementary Education. After receiving her Master’s in Elementary Administration from Charleston Southern University, Lerah went on to become an assistant principal, then promoted to principal, and finally became the director for the Charleston County School District. In 2010, she received her Ph.D. from Capella University.

Dr. Lerah Lee is one of only a handful of conservative Ph.D.s in the nation.

As Executive Director of Early Childhood Education, she worked with the community, elected officials, and business groups to create Early Learning Centers as well as alternative funding sources while managing a budget of approximately $45 million annually. Under her leadership, a new curriculum was implemented to ensure success for children of all economic backgrounds.

Lerah is the only candidate with the educational experience, unique background and determination to represent the needs of all people in the Seventh District. As our next Congresswoman, she will work to improve access and affordability of health care, require coverage for those with a pre-existing condition, put government spending on a diet, support policies that allow small businesses to grow, value life, strengthen education, secure our borders, implement term limits, and protect the traditional values upon which this nation was founded.
